This page explains how to delete the data kept by Shiok Recipe, the app by MR IT PTE. LTD. There are no accounts in the app, so there is no account to close.
Data on your phone
Your recipes, cookbooks, meal plans, shopping lists, pantry and Log Book are stored only on your phone. To delete them, open Profile → Reset App (Clear All Data) in the app, or uninstall the app.
Data on our servers
A few records are linked to your phone’s Support ID, not to your name. To delete them:
- In the app, open Profile → Support ID and tap it to copy it.
- Email support@mrit.com.sg with the subject Delete my data, and paste your Support ID in the message.
- We delete the records and confirm by email within 30 days.
To stop and erase usage statistics straight away, turn off Profile → Share Anonymous Usage Stats. This erases the statistics already stored for your phone.
What we delete
- Your monthly import counts
- Your import log (dates, import types, platforms and errors)
- Usage statistics linked to your phone
- Any free Pro grant and its notes
- Your support emails, once we’ve answered your request
We also ask RevenueCat, our subscription service, to delete its record of your Support ID.
What we can’t delete
- Purchase records kept by Apple or Google. The App Store and Google Play keep their own records of purchases under their policies.
- Recipes read from public posts. These copies are filed under the post’s link, not under you, and are removed automatically within 90 days.
Deleting your data doesn’t cancel a Pro subscription. Cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings first.
